Five Reasons to Book a Spring Photography Session in Surrey

A family of four sit in the field in front of a white blossom tree. They are lughing and cuddling. The parents are wearing blue and the two young girls are wearing pink dresses with flowers on them.

As I’m writing this, we’re coming towards the end of February and the sun is shining after days of rain! The days are growing longer and blossom and daffodils seem to be everywhere. I’m sure they come out earlier every year! Spring is (finally!) on its way. It’s my absolute favourite time for a family photo session. As a trusted Surrey family photographer, here are my top 7 reasons why this is the perfect time of year to book.

Blossoming Backdrops

A mother sit in a filed of daffodils awith her two young sons. They are all looking at the camera.

I love the way that Spring transforms Surrey with blossoms, daffodils, and other flowers. These burst of colour give the perfect backdrop for your family photos!

Natural Light

With longer days than we’ve had for a while and softer sunlight than the summer will give us, Spring light is great for outdoor photography. Early morning or before sunset are the perfect times to book. `The light is so flattering and gives a gorgeous glow to your photos.

Warmer Temperatures

Finally we get to say goodbye to the chilly winter and (hopefully!) hello to warm, sunny days. Spring weather in Surrey is often gorgeous, making it perfect for families to spend time outdoors during photo sessions without having to bundle up in endless layers!

Renewed Energy

Please tell me it’s not just me who feels the need to hiberate during winter?! I always feel such a renewed sense of energy in the Spring. It’s the perfect time to get your family together for a family photo session that captures the love, laughter and connections that make your family unique.

A Playful Atmosphere

Spring really seems to bring a sense of joy and playfulness after the winter. From skipping through fields of buttercups to playing games in the woods, I love to include games and activities into your family photoshoot. This helps your children (and therefore you!) to really relax, creating natural, candid moments that really capture you as a family.

Two young girls in pink flowery outfits sit on the grass holding buttercups. The younger sister is putting the buttercup into her mouth as the older sister looks at her.

Spring really does create the perfect backdrop to dreamy, natural family photos. As a trusted Surrey family photographer, it’s so important to me to offer a personalised experience that reflects your family’s unique personality and style. From choosing the perfect location to helping you coordinate your outfits, I’ll work closely with you to ensure every detail is perfect for you, giving you photos you really will treasure forever.

I’d love to hear from you if you’re hoping for a Spring family photography session in Surrey. Fill out the contact form and let’s chat!
