I’m Helen, a Surrey personal branding photographer. I’m passionate about capturing beautiful images to help you connect with your dream clients.

Although you know how important it is for your prospective clients to feel that they know, like and trust you, showing your face on your website and social media can be daunting. I totally get it!

We’ll work collaboratively, chatting before your photography session about your brand, your ideal clients and how you intend to use your images. I’ll help you plan for your personal branding session, including giving tips on outfits that’ll look amazing in your photos. We’ll discuss where your session could take place; whether that’s in your home, work place or other location which reflects you and your brand. I work across Surrey and beyond.

My aim is to make you feel as relaxed as possible during your session. You may even find you enjoy it (yes, really!). I want to make you look and feel like the very best version of yourself.

YOUR QUESTIONS

Where will our session take place?

We’ll chat about the best options for this before you book. It all depends on you and your business. If you have a workspace or studio, that would be perfect. Alternatively, we can meet at your home, an outdoor location or another location we decide. As a Surrey personal branding photographer, I work across Surrey and beyond. If the location we go for is more than 45 minutes from Walton-on-Thames, a small fee may apply.

I’m so camera-shy and have no idea how to pose. Will this be a problem?

Absolutely not! Almost everyone I photograph tells me how awkward they feel in front of the camera. I’m exactly the same myself! My aim is for you to feel as though you’re chatting with a friend (who just so happens to have a camera in her hand!). Using my years of experience as a Surrey personal branding photographer, I’ll gently guide you towards flattering lighting and relaxed poses that will make you fall in love with your final images!

What should I wear?

This again depends on you and your business but I’m here to help! Before we meet, you’ll receive a preparation guide filled with ideas to help you plan outfits that will look amazing in your final images. The smartest version of how you’d dress to meet clients or something you’d wear to out to a lovely lunch with friends can be great starting points to choosing your outfits.

Should I get my hair and make up done?

That’s totally up to you! A blow dry and professionally applied make up can really boost your confidence before a session. If you are usually much more understated though, it may make you feel as though you’re trying to be someone you’re not. The most important thing is that you feel like yourself (on a really good day!).

What is the difference between a headshot session and a personal branding session? Which one do I need?

If you’re just looking for a simple image or two to use on your website, a headshot mini session may be enough for you. If you’re looking for photos that really give your prospective clients an idea of you, your business and your brand, then a bespoke personal branding session is likely to work better for you.
