Thinking about a personal branding shoot? Here are 7 must-have shot ideas that will elevate your business and help you show up on social media.
The Headshot
Include your brand colours
By choosing colours that represent your brand, it’ll be so much easier to pull everything together and make your website and social media feed look and feel consistent. Before your shoot, we chat about your brand colours and values, helping to work out how you want your clients to feel about working with you. I also send you a preparation guide to help you plan outfits and get the most from your session.
Plan for different seasons
If your shoot is in mid-summer, bring along a cosy jumper to wear in a few shots. When winter comes round, you’ll have images to use on social media that will look as though they were taken that day. Sneaky, I know!
At Work
In action shots
So important! Photos of you doing what what you do give people an idea of what it’s like to work with you. They also give you something to do whilst being photographed, which can help you relax.
On your laptop
Photos of you working away can be so useful for social media. They give you a starting point to chatting about your day and give people a little insight into the behind-the-scenes of your business.
Relaxing
…with cup of coffee
Perfect for those days when you haven’t got much to say but know you need to show up. (Bonus points if you can match your coffee cup to your brand colours!)
…with pets or hobbies
Photos of you with your pets or doing something you love can really help your clients feel as though they know you. This photo of Anna with one of her gorgeous cats got so much engagement when she posted it!
Detail Shots
For those days when showing your face just seems too much, a few detail shots can make a huge difference. If you have beautiful products or stationary, fantastic. Laptops or notebooks work really well too though.
My lovely client from this shoot, Anna, who’s a local personal trainer, sent me this messsage after she posted her first of her photos…
“That Facebook post is my most popular ever!”
I’d love to help your prospective clients get to know you and your business. If you’re looking for a relaxed, fun (honestly!) personal branding shoot, it’d be great to hear from you. You can in touch here
