Gemma, the face behind The Mindful Sleep Coach, supports families with baby and toddler sleep in a way that feels reassuring, evidence-based and very human. From the very beginning of planning her branding shoot, it was clear that her images needed to reflect that same sense of calm.



Using brand colours in a natural, wearable way
One thing Gemma did beautifully was weave her brand colours through the shoot without it feeling forced.
Her outfits, props and even small details like mugs, notebooks and books all sat comfortably within her colour palette. Nothing felt styled for the sake of it. Instead, everything felt lived-in and natural, which is exactly what helps branding photos feel timeless.
This approach means her images work seamlessly across her website and social media, creating a consistent visual identity that instantly feels recognisable.

Showing the work, not just the person
For service-based businesses, especially those working with families, it’s so helpful to show what it looks like to work with you.
During this session, Gemma had a friend and her baby step in as “clients”, allowing us to create images that gently illustrate her process. These moments feel authentic, relaxed and reassuring, which is exactly what parents are looking for when choosing a sleep consultant.
We also included photographs with Gemma’s own toddler son, which added another layer of warmth and relatability. For many parents, seeing a business owner who really understands their stage of life builds trust in a way words alone can’t.

One of my favourite things about this shoot is how well Gemma has used her images since.
